February 2014 was a bitterly cold winter and found that Lake Superior had mostly frozen over leading to lots of ice stacked up on the shore. This image finds sunset behind the stack ice in the Two Harbors Minnesota harbor.
Yosemite Falls is an ephemeral falls in that it is a product of snow melt and rain. When the snow is all melted, the waterfall dries up and only re-appears when there is rain or the next spring when the snow melts again
On a bitterly cold morning in Monticello Minnesota at Swan Park the fog was so thick you couldn't see more than a few inches. When the fog finally cleared, it left behind a winter scene that was incredible.
